World Photo was formed in 2008. Our goal is to provide the best quality digital photographs at a resonable price.
World Photo is Guus Quaedvlieg and Steve Bailey. They are two very pasionated photographers who want to share our work with you.
Guus Quaedvlieg
Guus was born in 1954 in the south of a small country called The Netherlands. At the age of 11 it all starts with a plastic photocamera which he won in a drawing contest. Since that time he was fascinated by the world seen through a camera. Also supported by his father who was a very pasionated amateur photographer, together they spend a lot of time in the dark room. Besides that, healways wanted to do some creative things such as painting or other artwork.
Guus now puts his creative thoughts into photography and takes pictures, lots of pictures!
Beside photography He has another passion. Music; jazz music. He does not play it himself but he likes to listen and look at it and so the combination was made.
Jazz music and photography. I started in 1992 in Maastricht (NL) during the Jazz Mecca Festival and Guus took some picures from the late Joe Henderson there. After that a lot of artists came in front of his camera .
After experimenting with some digital cameras such as Olympus, Fuji and Minolta, he went fully digital in 2003 as he boughts a Canon EOS 10D.
Since 2004 Guus has another passion: Africa! Here it was that Guus met Steve. Steve's passion for photography and wildlife was a solid base for a very fine friendship that goes beyond photography.
Africa is a paradise for photographers. Africa will never leave me!
